When you starting singing?
Used to sing since my childhood during school programs.
Tell us the brief history of your singing career. ?
I used to be a good listener. I learned music being a good listener. I had several friends and relatives who used to love music back home. I used to sing alone in home. I always had a dream to record at least one song, Recording a song was a big deal for me in Nepal. I used to play with my computer using chat microphone. After many years I finally got chance to record songs in my own studio here in US. |

| Who are your musical and non-musical influences? |
Non Musical influence: My Dad
Musical: Sagar Sapkota, Razzen, Lazy Boi, DJ AJ, Sanjeev Singh, Sugam, Anil, Narayan Gopal, Nep Z Rules, and all NEPOP Artists etc.. etc.. etc… |
| What are your dreams and goals? |
I am doing Medical Technology here in TX, and I have a dream to establish a Musical Company Back home. |
| Who writes the songs and what are they about? |
I write myself most of the time. They are mostly about love and tragedy stuff. I include nature and love together in my lyrics, but sometime I sing chorus for other bands, and I use their wordings. |
| How do you promote yourself & shows? |
I think People know me more via Internet rather than any other shows or publicity. I consider Internet as the major source to promote my music. |
| What do you think about downloading music online? |
| I take it very positively, may be coz I am not a commercial artist. This is the best way to spread any music anywhere in the world. |
| What's your outlook on the record industry today? |
| I think music industry back home has several problems; I never wanted to give my album to any industry back home because these are my personal feelings and I don’t want to commercialize them. I would rather give it for free. |
| Tell us a story about a day in your life. |
I consider most of my days pretty interesting and exciting, but April, 17, 2006 is the best day in my life. I would not prefer to disclose more because it is lill personal. Just to let you know this is an outstanding day that changed my whole life. Well.. I met someone forever. |
| What inspires you to do what you do? |
| My Dad inspires me to achieve my educational goal. Family members and relatives inspire me to do something new in Nepal. Friends inspire me to chill and sing. She inspires me to smile. |
What advice would you give to fellow bands? |
Just make sure you give something different than any other bands. Please, know the taste of listeners. If you want them to like you, make sure you produce what they want. |
| What are some of your pet peeves? |
| Hermit Crab is Scary……. |
| How does music affect you and the world around you? |
| No doubt, I started music to get rid of depression. It changed several things. Many friends are relatives of mine never expected me being a singer or musician. It was a pleasant surprise for many. |
| What's new in the recording of your music? |
| I record myself. Except the beats all composing, singing, recording and mixing are just mine. I don’t have to rely on others mixing. I prefer to mix my all songs in different ways. |
| What are the biggest obstacles for bands? |
| Time and spot here in USA, but time and money back home. |
| What's the best and worst thing about playing clubs? |
| I really love clubby songs except for few tuff wordings. |
| Have any of your songs been published? |
| Some of them were aired couple of times via FM stations in Nepal, but not published commercially. |
| How do you describe your music to people? |
| I can proudly say that my songs are different than other artists. You don’t find traditional type of drum and guitar in my music. I choose beats to make a songs, and sometime I customize beats for my compositions. I love piano, strings, and R & B type beat. My choruses for Hip Hop are exclusive. |
| What live performance experience have you had? |
| I have performed couple of times here in US School/ Society programs. I performed twice in V.S Niketan College. |
| What do you think are the leading roles the nepali music artists staying in US are playing for the promotion of nepali music?. |
I think there are very few Nepali Music artists here in USA, Some professionals moved here permanently, and some started their musical career here in USA. I believe we are not as commercial as artists in Nepal, and I personally take it as hobby. We introduce Nepali music to foreigners as we perform in different cultural shows. |
