The Uglyz In Transit
The multi award winning rock outfit, The Uglyz, is back on the scene with new album "In Transit". Formed in 1996, the band consists of Sarun Tamrakar (Vocals & Guitar), Sudeep Tamrakar (Lead Guitar) & Rakin Lal Shrestha (Drums & Vocals). The trio has since been competing in various music competitions and has never come second so far.
After successful debut of their first album, "Rush" in 2005, The Uglyz won Best Visual Effect (Image Awards), Best New Artist of the Year (Hits FM Awards), Best New Artist of theYear & Best Album of the Year (Dhuk Dhuki Awards - Pokhara) in 2005. Music video of Aaundai Jandai and Maya were also the most aired music videos of 2005 and 2006. The videos are still popular today and get frequent airplays on national tv channels.

The Uglyz' fame and success escalated massively after launching their debut album. Rush, the versatile album, had great variations of tunes: rock, pop and international melodies. However, famous songs from the album were ; Maya, Sathi, Audai-Jadai and Parkhai. Their debut album consisted; five Neplese songs, two English songs and suprisingly one Japanese tune.
The Uglyz recently performed in Green Baneswor Street Music Festival and people could see that The Uglyz Mania still existed. Band members were stormed by fans for autograhs behind the stage after the show. Fans sang out load Audain Jadain word by word with the band.
With the overwhelming response from the audience, the band is now ready for the release of second album, In Transit. The album consists of eight rock and pop songs. The band members are also busy in making two music videos. Sachen Bajracharya, pianist of the first album, will be joining The Uglyz for In Transit as well.
