Fund Raising to help some of our community members
Dear Members,
As our community grows, so do we have to face more unpleasant news from time to time. A rash of incidents has happened to several of our community members in the past couple of weeks. Many of us are far away from our homes and families and these incidents are especially hard for loved ones who cannot really see us up close. So please take extra precaution and be on the safe side on all of your activities.
Kishor KC (whose incident was already mentioned in an email earlier) has been moved to a rehab facility (Kernan Hospital in Woodlawn) for his recovery. His recovery is very slow and he has not made any significant recovery in terms of brain damage. However, he has made some improvements in his physical ability. We wish him a speedy recovery to a normal life. Here's the information of the hospital if you'd like to visit him:
Room # T909
Kernan Hospital
2220 Kernan Drive,
Baltimore, MD 21207

Also, three community members from the Crofton area got involved in a car accident recently. All three of them (Ek Narayan Sharma, Sharada Rayamajhi and Hos B. Thapa) have been treated and released from the hospital.
Shyam Giri, a Baltimore community member was also a victim of violence at his work in the Hamilton area. He has been treated and released from the hospital and now is recovering at the residences of the owner of his work place.
In light of these incidents, BANA's executive committee has decided to raise some funds to donate to the victims and their families. Though we cannot fully compensate these victims for their physical and emotional wounds, a little monetary help can go a far way. The executive committee members and the advisory board members will be going around the community to raise money. Please help us support the victims in anyways you can.
Thanks.
